For the past five years, American Horror Story has entertained us in a fresh new style of television. This show is not like anything else and is pioneering for future shows. This season started off with promos that mislead the whole nation, not giving us any hint at what to expect, with it always ending in ?6. From that moment on, we knew this season was a game changer for the show.
Fans have been asking to bring back the classic, frightening style of the show to be more horror-like because the last few seasons haven't displayed that aspect, but more on storytelling. Roanoke - as we find out after the premiere - brought back the classic scare of the show.
As this has been the most thrilling season, the story aspect of the show has felt forgotten. Roanoke tells a story in a classic and unique AHS way, but has lost the feeling of wanting more after every episode like it used to. As the season comes to an end, there is a bittersweet feeling in all the dedicated lovers of AHS, fans are excited to see how it all wraps up, but sad the a favorite show is coming to an end for a grueling year.
Overall, I really am enjoying Roanoke and love that the creators are keeping the show fresh and new every single season and I can't wait to see what they have in the future!
