It's the month of Halloween - I mean October - so that means it's the time of year for spoopy chills and thrills. Of course my absolute favorite part of Halloween is seeing Disneyland dressed up in beautiful fall colors and have pumpkins lined on the walls of Main Street with the iconic Mickey Pumpkin in the heart of town square. The absolute part of spooky Disneyland, besides the rare Disneyland villains that show up this time of year, is Mickey's Halloween Party. This was my second year going and both times I was absolutely blown away with the incredible theming they do to the entire park. It is a completely new park from the moment you enter to the very back of the park at Small World and Critter Country.
Mickey's Halloween Party is a ticketed event, which is definitely sold out by now so next year buy them early, that range in prices from late september being the cheapest and Halloween the most expensive. The park closes at 6 or 7pm to the public, leaving DCA open for a few more hours, for the party to start. They are very serious when it comes to checking your wristbands so don't even try to sneak in because they will catch you waiting in the bathroom.
The party is definitely worth the money because it offers so much that normal Disney days don't offer. You can trick or treat, meet characters in their Halloween costumes, meet iconic villains, ride the rethemed rides - Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy -, watch the amazing Halloween Screams Fireworks, or enjoy the brand new Halloween parade: Frightfully Fun Parade, led by the headless horseman! The trick or treating gave me so much yummy candies I get to enjoy this most spooky month, the fireworks gave me life, and the new parade slayed me! I've always enjoyed HMH and Ghost Galaxy (which are open to the public).
Honestly I loved the party and I will continue going for a long time! I highly recommend going in the coming years and if you are going later this month, enjoy it as much as you can!
