Main Street Electrical Parade

Yes! Finally the return of the original Main Street Electrical Parade! From now until mid-June you can experience the original electrical parade as it has made its way back to its home park at Anaheim, California in Disneyland. This parade originally premiered June 17th, 1972. That is just about 44 years ago! It's amazing to see what could be done with a little imagination so long ago.
When it was first announced the parade will be returning to its first Main Street, people had mixed emotions. On one hand, it was going to be great to be able to see the parade's final run ever at its home park, but on the other, we were going to lose the Paint the Night parade. Paint the Night is the successor of Main Street Electrical Parade, almost like its more updated child. It is quite an upgrade and many fans were mad at the loss of this updated parade, given to Disneyland for its 60th birthday in 2015, for an outdated parade.
Comparing the two is like comparing an iPhone 3G to an iPhone 7. Sure it's a classic and started a revolution, but it's old and outdated and has been replaced but a better model. It's just that the music, floats, and the movies the floats are based off of are old and not as relevant as the newer floats and music in PtN.
I was lucky enough to see the public opening night of the parade for both of the parades. With PtN I was entertained all the way through with all the performers, floats, and the amazing soundtrack. With MSEP I was excited at first but slowly got less and less into the parade itself. The most exciting part was the intro and the donkey-boys with the Pinocchio segment and their crazy choreography. Other than that I was just there to say I was there. I can continue to watch PtN over and over and never get bored, but I think one or two times is enough with MSEP. For the people that say MSEP is better than PtN, watch both live and tell me your thoughts after.
